What is TSCM Training? Why are Verrimus In Demand?
We are often asked What is TSCM training? We are different to the majority of TSCM training providers. Our focus is on the use of experiential learning and the military training principles of explanation, demonstration, imitation and practice.
TSCM Training Content
TSCM (technical surveillance countermeasures) training should involve teaching operators to;
- understand methods of technical surveillance attack,
- identify technical surveillance risks,
- detect technical surveillance attacks,
- locate technical surveillance attacks,
- use threat domain measurement tools to assess a threat domain,
- analyse and interpret threat domain measurements,
- identify risk factors that enhance technical surveillance attack opportunities,
- mitigate the risk of technical surveillance,
- provide advice to clients to protect them from technical surveillance attacks
TSCM Specialists
Verrimus are TSCM specialists and provide our Operational TSCM Training services solely to law enforcement, military and government teams worldwide. We also assist large organisations to develop and maintain an in-house TSCM capability.
Realism
There are other organisations who offer TSCM training, yet none currently provide the level of bespoke course development or realistic training methods that Verrimus offer. Some training providers build ‘rooms’ within offices or warehouses to be used as training scenarios. This ‘fake’ scenario is okay for classroom practices, but it will not give the element of realism we feel is essential. Verrimus prefer to purchase our live scenario sites or work in collaborative partnerships to be able to provide a level of realism that is not replicated elsewhere. We cover every aspect of operational TSCM training, from initial threat brief, to selecting equipment for deployment, to conducting the TSCM task, through to the extraction of operators and equipment and reporting.
No Sales Targets
Additionally, Verrimus are not TSCM equipment manufacturers and have no sales targets imposed on our interactions with clients. We use a wide variety of measurement tools. Tools that our experienced operators have used, tested and evaluated to meet the specific measurement requirements of threat domains. Our TTPs are transferable and adaptable, no matter which measurement equipment a team is familiar with using. We believe that a competent TSCM technicians should be able to move between various suites of measurement equipment.
