TSCM Training – Aircraft, Real Planes!

TSCM Training – Aircraft

Aircraft TSCM operations…Google Aircraft TSCM and you’ll see hundreds of companies offering to survey aircraft for technical surveillance attacks.

Sign of a healthy industry, full of professional TSCM Operators, trained to properly survey aircraft? Unfortunately not.

Carrying out an in-depth technical survey on an aircraft is a highly complex operation that requires an Operator to be properly trained, not just in TSCM, but in the aircraft and the systems on that aircraft.

This is the reason why our TSCM training centre offers aircraft TSCM training, to enable professional operators to carry out effective TSCM surveys of aircraft in a safe and competent manner. The only way you can learn aircraft TSCM is in an aircraft, a real working aircraft. With all of the systems and structure that make the aircraft function and can be used to mount and conceal a technical surveillance attack. You need instructors that understand those systems and structures, and the regulations that surround them.

Are Verrimus the only company that offer Aircraft TSCM Training? No, but we are the only TSCM training provider that has aircraft to carry out TSCM training on. For that reason, we should be the only company that can carry out aircraft TSCM training, however the unscrupulous TSCM training companies still offer aircraft TSCM training. How?

This is an absolutely true story….A client of ours booked an aircraft TSCM training course with us. During the first day, their Team Leader told us they had been offered aircraft TSCM training by a company in Hereford. When he asked them which specific aircraft they had to train on, the Hereford company said, “WE DON’T HAVE AN ACTUAL AIRCRAFT, WE LAY OUT CHAIRS IN OUR BOARDROOM IN ROWS LIKE AN AIRCRAFT”.

It’s a funny but true example, but in reality, it’s not funny at all. Having untrained people ‘messing around’ with aircraft systems is highly dangerous and can have catastrophic results…. I’ll just say I hope I never end up on an aircraft that has been surveyed by anyone they trained!

Verrimus use a BAC 1-11 and a Boeing 737, yes real aircraft. Real systems, real attacks and real scenarios to conduct aircraft TSCM training.  Our aircraft classroom is a converted BAC 1-11 and our exercises are carried out on a real 737.

We provide a general aircraft TSCM module and a number of aircraft specific training modules.
