TSCM OPERATOR TRAINING

Today at the Verrimus TSCM Training Centre, we conducted a focused session of in-house TSCM Operator training – a vital and regular requirement for all Verrimus Operators to ensure they remain at peak operational readiness.

In addition to this scheduled training, today marked an exciting milestone: the first operational evaluation for our new Apprentice.

Becoming a fully capable Verrimus Operator is no small feat. It typically takes between one and two years of intensive, structured development to reach full operational competency across all required disciplines.

Three weeks ago, our Apprentice completed their initial training phase, successfully covering the first of the nine technical domain measurement disciplines essential to professional TSCM operations. As part of their development, they have also shadowed our Government TSCM Instructor during two highly specialised programmes: the 5-day Government Aircraft TSCM Course and the Vehicle TSCM Course.

Today, it was time to test their progress.

In a snap operational assessment, our SIASS Operators deployed two Technical Surveillance attacks. The Apprentice was tasked with detecting and locating both threats using the data measurement and analysis techniques acquired during training to date.

The result?
Two attacks deployed – two attacks detected and located.

A strong result and a clear indicator of the Apprentice’s potential and the effectiveness of our structured, skills-based training approach.
