TSCM TRAINING – Government Only
TSCM TRAINING – Government Only
“Verrimus only provides operational TSCM training to Government Agencies, Law Enforcement and Military Organisations.”
That statement often raises a number of questions. So I’ll try to answer the most common questions in this blog…
Q: Why does Verrimus not offer operational TSCM training to the public?
A: Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) is a service to detect, identify and pin point locate any technical surveillance attack on an individual or organisation.
We can all agree on that….So, anyone that thinks they may be under surveillance or investigation will want to procure TSCM services to ensure they are free from threat. That includes criminals and terrorists.
The TSCM Training that Verrimus provides is extremely advanced and covers countering technical surveillance technology used by Intelligence Agencies, Law Enforcement Agencies and Military Intelligence Units. Verrimus will not train a member of the public to be able to detect, identify and pinpoint locate these kind of attacks as that person could use those skills to work against a legitimate technical surveillance organisation. Not only would that be unprofessional but highly irresponsible.

Q: What makes Verrimus TSCM Training so different from the TSCM Training offered by other companies?
A: Our TSCM Training is aimed at providing Government agencies and organisations the ability to counter technical surveillance threats that may be used against them. Verrimus TSCM training contains the use of equipment not available to commercial TSCM teams or members of the public. The operational attack procedures covered in the training is based on known Government, Military and Law Enforcement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
—
Q: Why don’t Verrimus just offer a separate course for members of the public that doesn’t include Government technical surveillance attacks?
A: Because there is a vector overlap. We would essentially have to lie on a ‘public’ TSCM course to hide that overlap to protect Government, Military and Law Enforcement operations.
—
Q: So how can other companies offer TSCM Training to members of the public and not put Government operations at risk?
A: Because the vast majority of companies offering TSCM Training do not have the capability, equipment or operational skill set to counter that level of attack. Therefore the training that they deliver is not fit for purpose to counter Government level threats, and safe to deliver to the public. Their training is all but useless to a criminal or terrorist looking to find technical surveillance attacks that may be used against them.
Hopefully that will answer most of the Government Only kind of questions we get. If you have any other questions or questions that arise from this TSCM Training Blog please feel free to contact us.
